Zentrum polis was founded in 2006 and is the central service institution for citizenship education in schools in Austria. polis supports teachers, schools and also extracurricular educational institutions in the implementation of citizenship education in all its facets. We work with a broad understanding of politics that encompasses many thematic and content-related approaches. The most important tasks include: advice as well as information, production of materials for the classroom, trainings and workshops for teachers, events for the public.
For several years we have regularly done projects that integrate artistic approaches to citizenship education.
